Meet Amanda Penrod, our Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Amanda has spent her over 25 years in healthcare, consulting, and leadership striving to create change and inspire others. She brings her years of experience to RFX, a solution she saw was needed to close the heavily burdensome compliance gap and promote higher standards of quality of care, patient, and staff safety. Amanda is passionate about empowering teams with real-time data and software that streamlines processes and also gives them the tools they need to succeed.

In her spare time, Amanda loves to travel and spend time outdoors with her family. She’s also a roller coaster enthusiast and loves to ride as many as she can.

Meet Luke Woodard, our Founder and Chief Technology Officer. Luke has spent 25 years building software for the healthcare, real estate, and oil & gas industries. He and Amanda started RFX to bring simplicity and innovation to an industry that has been underserved and is fraught with bad solutions. He loves to interact with our clients daily to really understand what they need and how we can better help serve them.

Luke has been practicing and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 18 years, and he is a 2nd degree black belt. Luke enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs during football season and listening to native Oklahoman Zach Bryan.

Meet Derek Grape, our Director of User Experience. Derek has over two decades of overall design experience ranging from package and booth design to software design, logos, and collateral. He’s spent the last 15 years focusing on user experience and user interface design at several software companies.

His favorite part about working at RFX is the opportunity to work with a group of intelligent, fun people all striving to make the best software in the market. The best advice he’s ever gotten is “Make ‘em a hand” from his dad, an oilfield saying about doing whatever it takes to help the business succeed. Derek spends time at home with his wife and two puppies or working on home remodeling projects. His favorite movie is the original Robocop, and his favorite show is the Netflix series Warrior.

Meet Kathy Hardy our Director of Implementation. Kathy came to RFX after spending more than 25 years as a registered nurse, initially working in the ICU before transitioning to the PACU/Recovery, which ignited her passion for surgical services.

Kathy served in leadership roles at major hospitals before transitioning into a Director of Nursing/Administrator role in ASCs, where she spent two decades. Kathy enjoys working with our many clients and equipping their teams for success with our software. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, watching her beloved Steelers, reading by the pool, and spending time with family, friends, and all her dogs and horses.

Meet Alison Johnston, our Director of Implementation. Alison comes to RFX after almost three decades of nursing experience, in oncology, home health, pre-op, post-op, phase 2, and OR settings. 27 years RN experience. Alison is excited to be part of a team creating groundbreaking technology.

Alison enjoys reading books and quilting in her free time, and she thought she would be a librarian growing up. She also likes to spend time with her kids, ages 7 and 21, who “keep her young.”

Meet Sandra Stewart, our Director of Quality and Education. With a decade of experience in ASC leadership roles ranging from administrator to regional leadership, Sandra was drawn to RFX for the quality of our software, reigniting her passion for patient safety after a brief retirement period.

Her favorite part? Witnessing staff excitement during product implementation. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, beach walks, and kayaking. Her best advice? " Never say no. Instead of saying no, ask yourself ‘why not?’ and look to remove obstacles or alternatives.” Her favorite book right now is Fourth Wing and her favorite TV show is Friends.

Meet Courtney Wainner, our Marketing Strategist. Hailing from healthcare capital Nashville, TN, she has worked in healthcare for the last 6 years, working with ASCs, mental health providers, manufacturers, revenue cycle organizations, and more.

Courtney came to RFX looking for a new challenge and is excited for the opportunity to embrace creativity within the healthcare space. She’s excited to see how RFX can help empower those in the surgery space to challenge the status quo. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys running her own cottage bakery, reading, spending time at the lake, and cheering on the real UT, her Tennessee Vols.
